Dr. Emily Balkin

BA, Neuroscience, Yale

I graduated?from Harvard Medical School, where I served on the Admissions Committee for two years. I am currently a pediatrics resident at UCSF and am interested in a career in pediatric intensive care and global health. Prior to medical school, I attended Yale College, where I majored in Neurobiology.

In college, I co-founded a non-profit organization called Gardens for Health, which works to provide lasting agricultural solutions to chronic childhood malnutrition in Rwanda. I am passionate about medical education and am committed to mentoring and helping others get into their dream medical schools.

In my free time, I love exploring the Bay Area, trying new restaurants, kayaking, and cross-country skiing.
